The CERN Golf Club was founded by constitutional assembly in October 1982. The C.G.C is a CERN Staff Association club society and is competition oriented..
The FFG
“Fédération Française de Golf,” which translates to the French Golf Federation, is the governing body for golf in France. It oversees and promotes the sport of golf, organizes competitions, sets standards, and works to develop and grow the game at various level. Most CGC competitions are managed by the FFG.

Membership Fee
This year’s Membership fee costs EURO 40 and must be paid into the UBS EURO account “CERN CLUB de GOLF”, preferably by electronic bank transfer.

Validation
Membership will be validated after receipt of the payment and completion of the web form.
External Members
- Note: non-CERN members need only to seek approval from CERN member as sponsor for the first year. The following years they do not need to be sponsored any longer.
Credit System
All fees will be dedcucted from the members credit balance. Make sure you have enough credit to pay for membership and competition fees.
Competitions
The provisional competition list for this season is available on our web page, with the names of the organisers of each tournament. The rules for each competition will be announced by email. Registration will be carried out via the web page, giving your name at least one week before the tournament date. When necessary, inscriptions may be limited and for certain courses handicaps are required.
To avoid paying your competition fee of 10 EURO at every individual competition, we propose that you make a single payment in the beginning of the year for the approximate amount of events that you plan to participate. This payment can be made together with you membership fee, as explained in above.
FFG Licence
- An FFG license with medical certificat is obligatory for all members participating in competitions.
- Members who wish to get a FFG license from us, should order it via the link on the left.
Rankings
- In each competition points are awarded for performance. At the end of the season the highest total wins the St Andrews trophy for men and the Augusta trophy for ladies offered by K. Taswell and H. Wendler. Points are allocated as follows:
